Tarangire is the surprise package in the Northern circuit famously for its Elephant Migration and water holes, iconic baobab trees, wildebeest, zebra, and diversity of wildlife. The Tarangire River is the primary source of water for all animals in the park. It’s among the best parks in Tanzania for taking jaw-dropping photos or relaxing in the beauty of the largest two tasked mammals.
Game drives through Tarangire are generally mind-blowing during the dry season when the wildlife of the park must accumulate closer and close to the enticing water of the Tarangire River. This offers a great opportunity to see the abundance of animals in the same place and to document the predator-prey relationship in action.
Arusha
30 Min Before Time
After breakfast you will depart from Arusha to Tarangire national park which will take a maximum time of two hours.
On your way to the Park you will take in the ever changing landscape of Arusha as the urban jungle is replaced by vast open plains, wonderful Masai villages and monkeys before the entrance. Checking in the park offers a chance to pose with a huge baobab at the park gate
Later on enjoy a picnic lunch at the picnic site and digest in a remarkable view of the Tarangire river. Keep a close eye on your lunch as the local monkey won’t hesitate to gate away with a tasteful treat if given the chance.
You will later on return to Arusha in the evening after a remarkable beautiful day trip.
